In Conversation: Author D.X. Ferris

Join us for an engaging virtual/Zoom-based afternoon with author and musician D.X. Ferris.

D.X. Ferris has been recognized as a "Reporter of the Year" by the Ohio Society of Professional Journalists. He has written for Rolling Stone, Alternative Press, the A.V. Club, the Village Voice, Decibel, and numerous other publications.

His latest book is Slayer 66 2/3: A Metal Band Biography, the updated "reborn and remastered" post-reunion 4th Edition of his Slayer biography, as featuring information related to Valley Stream's Slipped Disc Records and Lido Beach native Rick Rubin. He is also the author of the comic strip Suburban Metal Dad and widely-regarded as the go-to source for information about Pittsburgh rock favorites Donnie Iris & The Cruisers.

Patrons can submit questions in advance for the event, which will be hosted by librarian Darren Paltrowitz.
