VISITOR HOURS

Old Westbury Gardens will be open on weekends only in November, from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Westbury House will close for lunch at 1:00pm and will re-open at 1:30pm. Final admissions to Westbury House will be at 2:00pm for non-members and 3:00pm for members. Visitors are asked to leave the property by 4:00pm. Westbury House is open with limited capacity for self-guided tours, and face coverings are required of all visitors over the age of 2 inside the building regardless of vaccination status.

All visitors, either those with admission tickets or members must arrive by 5:00 p.m. Persons arriving less than one hour before the closing time will not be permitted entry.



Old Westbury Gardens, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is the former home of John S. Phipps, his wife, Margarita Grace Phipps, and their four children. Built in 1906 by the English designer George A. Crawley, the magnificient Charles II-style mansion is nestled amid 160 acres of formal gardens, landscaped grounds, woodlands, ponds, and lakes. Westbury House is furnished with fine English antiques and decorative arts from the more than fifty years of the family's residence.

The membership includes free admission to the museum for 2 adults and their children and a 10% discount at the Garden Gate Gift Shop and the Garden Plant Shop.
